Regarding further training, beyond the core theoretical areas of linguistics, my studies have included two field methods courses: one during my master’s program which recorded data from the Ga language, and the other which worked with Ekhwa Adara during my current PhD program. I have also dived into the computational side of linguistics, taking a corpus linguistic course during my master’s program and again during my PhD. For one course I created a way to mark universal dependencies (UD) in Ojibwe for treebanking purposes and for the other sorted search results for the online Lenape Talking Dictionary.
